About Me

Dr. Fatima Ramos-Marcuse, PhD, NPP is a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry and a Developmental Psychologist specializing in child, adolescent, adult and family therapy and medication management. She maintains a private practice in Mamaroneck, New York. She speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish and French. She has practiced in New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Baltimore and Geneva, Switzerland.

Dr. Ramos-Marcuse is an Assistant Professor at Columbia University Medical Center and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Kerkauf Graduate School of Psychology both in New York City.

With over 15 years experience in psychiatric mental health and psychotherapy for individuals and families, she is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients in Westchester County, New York. Among her areas of expertise are depression, mood dysregulation and anxiety in children, adolescents and parents.

In addition to being a relationship therapist, Dr. Ramos-Marcuse has presented at national and international conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics such as: " Preventive intervention with depressed parents and their preschoolers: A community based family intervention." She has also authored several books chapters and peer reviewed articles, including:

Dr. Fatima Ramos-Marcuse is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. As a licensed Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry, she integrates psychotherapy with use of medication when necessary to achieve the best results. With compassion and understanding, she works with clients to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
